What do I wear to a spring wedding?

As spring wedding invitations start flooding in, we know that after the initial, “I’m so happy for my friends!” you’re likely thinking, “What am I going to wear?” As one of Toronto’s oldest dry cleaners, we’ve seen our fair share of great spring wedding ensembles.

Dressing to attend a spring wedding is always a challenge for the ladies because you need to choose something that reflects the warmer weather, but that won’t let you freeze when the wind kicks up. For the gentlemen, there are a ton of spring wedding outfits that can pay tribute to the blooming season while maintaining a masculine style.

We went through a bunch of ever-so-addictive wedding blogs and the AOS Fashion Finder to round up our favourite spring wedding guest looks. Now, as we give you these outfit suggestions, we need you to promise that once you’ve worn them, you’ll make sure that they’re properly dry cleaned before the next time you put them on. We don’t want you heading to the next wedding with a wine stain you forgot about from a toast gone wrong!

For the ladies, we looked at some brands taking advantage of the opportunity to wear romantic pastels, but that still give you a hand with the fickle temperatures that come with attending a spring wedding.

Reef Dress

This Reef Dress from Paper Crown nicely covers your shoulders and legs in case the day has a cool breeze, but gives you a nice slit to keep the look sexy.

Amethyst Jacket

The Amethyst Jacket, also from Paper Crown, is the perfect spring cover-up if you want to keep your glam look, but don’t want to freeze.

Louisa Dress

J. Crew always does a great job with their wedding-ready dresses, but we would suggest pairing this mint Louisa dress with a beautiful jacket, like the Chester Sequin one from Paper Crown.

For the guys, we headed to the ASOS Fashion Finder, where users upload their favourite looks and include information for where to find each item.

Grey Burton Suit

This grey Burton suit is light enough in colour to match the spring weather, and allows you to keep a jacket handy should you need to drape it over your date’s shoulders if the sun hide behind a cloud.

The Playful Look

Spring is a great time to make bold fashion choices and go for a more playful wedding guest look. If your bride and groom are a little more casual, enjoy the flexibility and wear colourful accessories like a bright watch or a patterned bowtie.

As we already mentioned, don’t forget to do your post wedding duty and get your outfit dry-cleaned. We can get rid of the little spills that inevitably end up on your clothing at an event. We’ll even come by and pick your items up for free!
