Spring Florals for 2015

“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” – Miranda Priestly; The Devil Wears Prada

Although we are long-time fans of Meryl Streep’s iconic Priestly, we can’t help but think she might bite her tongue after seeing what’s in store for 2015. The concept of florals in the spring may not be something entirely novel, but this year’s execution of an otherwise traditional pattern has us absolutely asking for more!

Take this House of Holland show, for instance:

Or, how about this collection from Jenna. Theo?

These vibrant, bold patterns have taken the concept of floral and turned it into something that feels fresh and, surprisingly, new. We love how at once they carry a retro-vintage vibe and yet also a modern edge.

We’re feeling inspired for the next couple of months to reach past our go-to neutral colours and dive into the bright, wonderful world of modern florals. And, since we are feeling so inspired, we couldn’t keep it all to ourselves! What good is inspiration if not shared? From pants to bookshelves (yes, you read that correctly), there are just oh-so-many great ways to make your day a little more spring-y! Enjoy!

How wonderful is it to see such bright colours after so much white (and then brown) all winter? After your eyes have adjusted to such different tones, just try and tell us it doesn’t make you want to fold up your black tees for at least a little while!

And, hey, while you’re giving your old winter faithfuls a bit of a break, we can actually go one step further for you and give them a really good spring refreshing. As Toronto’s leading clothing care experts, we know that just because something is well-used doesn’t mean it has to look that way. Dry cleaning can help preserve those beloved pieces to enjoy for even longer. It’s also a really good excuse to treat yourself to something fresh to wear while we are cleaning your old favourites! Something to keep in mind with all those great florals out there…
