Summer Fabric: Ticking Stripe
I don’t know if any of you are huge Sarah Richardson fans like we are, but her blog is one of our favourites for keeping up with home interior trends. Let’s face it, we’re never going to be one step ahead of Sarah Richardson, so we may as well learn from her.
This summer Sarah was all about ticking stripe and we agree that it’s the perfect fabric for the season. We anticipate cleaning a ton of household items sporting ticking stripe when the weather cools and we start putting our summer décor away. Getting a chance to see all of the beautifully seasonal bedspreads and pillows as they come into Parkers for cleaning is one of the best parts of the job for fabric fans like us!
Here are a couple of the ways that Sarah Richardson has drawn our attention to ticking stripe.
“A cottage favourite, this nautical blue awning woven cotton rug is exactly what you need layered with your living room furniture or acting as a classic ‘catch-all’ at the front door.”
“Sometimes all you need to finish off a room is that one perfect throw, making this 100% merino wool blanket an ideal home accessory. Tuck-it over the back of your sofa or layer it at the end of your bed, this little guy boasts a whole lotta durability and comfort making it a staple piece for years to come.”
“Not your typical laundry hamper, this utterly charming and very useful household accessory is outfitted with swivel casters, allowing you to transport your dirty drawers in a flash!”
We included the last ticking stripe application to remind you that at Parkers, we do dry-cleaning and custom clothing care. Bring in your ticking stripe rugs and blankets for us to take care of!
