Dressing fashionably can sometimes lead to disaster.

I had just bought a brand new pair of pants, and had to wear them. It didn’t matter that they were a little long – as far as I was concerned they looked good and that was all that mattered. I had the perfect shoes and clutch picked out and was excited for a night of fun.

I should have known better.

My new pants had a gorgeous French cuff on them, until I got up to go to the bathroom. The heel of my shoe got caught in the French cuff and as I stood up, all you heard was the tearing of my pants. Luckily for me I had a couple of safety pins in my purse, so I was able to pin the tear and the night didn’t have to stop.

Another valuable lesson learned. Never wear pants that are too long- you can trip, or tear them. It’s always best to make sure they fit properly before wearing them. From now on, I will always make sure to have my pants shortened by one of our experienced tailors before wearing them.
