I don’t know how this happened, can you fix it?

The other day, Lisa brought her corduroy dress in for cleaning. She pointed out the green discolouration at the armpits and wondered if we could do anything to fix it.  Lisa was not sure what the stains were from or how they got there. She had never seen this before.

As soon as our experts looked at Lisa’s dress they were able to advise as to the cause of the discolouration and staining – deodorant stains.

The main cause of armpit stains is excessive perspiration, but sometimes the cause is due to the wrong deodorant or antiperspirant. When purchasing deodorant or antiperspirant it is always best to purchase the waterproof kind.  Deodorants and antiperspirants that are not thoroughly waterproof may be ineffective and be a cause of staining on your garments.
