Thank goodness for our professional tailors

It all started about 10 months ago. I decided I was going to start taking care of me. And with that one of my first goals was to try to lose some weight. I started working out more, doing a bit of yoga and eating a bit better than I was before.
Whatever I was doing seemed to be working and the pounds started falling off. And while that was great for my ego my health and how I was looking, it wasn’t so great for my wardrobe.

The only downfall to losing weight – my clothes stopped fitting. They were becoming far too big. While I may not buy the most expensive garments, my clothes are all in good condition and still fairly costly. There was no way I was throwing out good clothes and there was no way I was going to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe when I hadn’t reached my goal weight.

I slowly started bringing in a couple pieces of clothing each week to one of our experienced tailors at Parkers. They did an incredible job.

Some pants were simple and just needed the waists taken in. Others need taking in, and tapering all down the legs. I  had pants that needed new zippers and pants that required the clasps being moved over.  I even had pants that needed to be shortened because they were starting to reach the ground from hanging so low on my hips.

I got so excited that I had pants I could wear again. They fit properly and you couldn’t even tell they were altered.  I even got to keep the European hems on my favourite jeans.

I have no idea what I would have done if I didn’t have such excellent tailors to fix my clothes. Now me and my wardrobe are clean, fitted and happy.
