I just rubbed the spot with a napkin – will it come out?

Jordan was out for dinner the other evening with his nephew. As they were leaving the restaurant, Jordan noticed food stains on the inside and outside of the lapels of his coat.

Jordan had just bought the coat and was upset. He picked up a napkin, dabbed it in water, and then rubbed at the food stain. When Jordan stopped, he noticed the spot was now a bit whiter and had spread. The cause was the rubbing of the napkin. Not only was Jordan spreading the stain, he was embedding the food into the fibres.

Luckily, Jordan left the stain alone at that point, and brought his coat into our Bayview and York Mills location for cleaning.

If you notice a stain or spill on your clothes, the best thing to do is nothing. Take it to a professional as soon as possible to clean.
